Cynthia (Cindy)'s Story
Life
I know this is going to sound like a Christmas letter...but here it goes anyway. I've been married to the same great guy, Joe, since 1976 (he attended Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo and graduated in 1969). We met at church while he was home on leave from the U.S. Air Force. When we married we became an instant family since he had sole custody of his 4 year old son, Andrew. Two years later we were blessed by adding our daughter Kimberly to our brood. The four of us moved around the world quite a bit during the next 20 years with the Air Force, so I was never able to attend any of the Monarch Reunions. In 1990 we settled in Phoenix, AZ when Joe was stationed here, and in 1997 he retired from the service after 28 years. When we moved to Phoenix I FINALLLYYY returned to college and subsequently became a licensed Radiologic Technologist (fanc...Expand for more
y way to say X-ray Tech). I'm licensed in both general x-ray and mammography in Arizona, but work soley as a mammography tech. Joe is employed with a major aviation manufacturing firm as a Quality Manager. Kimberly is currently a full time student at ASU in Tempe, AZ, as well as working full time. Our son has blessed us with grandchildren...our 5 year old granddaughter Sydney and 18 month old grandson Richard (Ricky). Andrew and his wife Jennifer (both are also USAF)currently are stationed in San Antonio, TX so we're not able to enjoy and spoil the babies as much as we'd like. Unfortunately, being away from the Bay Area for so long I've lost contact with all my old friends from high school. We are, however, lucky enough to have found the best new friends and neighbors a person could ever ask for. It may be hot here in Phoenix...but life is GOOD!
